Your eyes hide a tenderness that is more sensitive than all the red roses of the world.

Watching my parents I've learnt a lesson many do not recognize. True love is not signaled by romantic, candle light dinners, red roses glistening with dew, or even Valentine's day celebrations. While these things may accompany our feelings, love is truly more than all those! Love is being with your spouse even when its not pleasing. Sometimes, love is walking down the hall, with your spouse hanging onto your shoulders and walking at a turtle's pace down the hall, just because surgery made life a burden. Love is patient, love is kind, love is Jesus! May we always remember love is not always tied in bows!

CageIt's a tear i want to shed,For the weathered roses that once was red,Today it's a decision want to make,To move on in life ignoring the fate,It's the promises i want to break,Because its a nightmare and i want to awake,It is the poem that don't rhyme,I don't know how, but things changed with the tides of time,It's the memories i want to forget,Now i am tired, no more i can regret,I'm the one, who feels alone in the crowd,I want to cry, run and shout out loud,Please leave me alone, relieve me from the pain,I am empty now, there is nothing more you can regain,Look at me and deep into my eyes,You will find the love that never dies

oxygen Everything needs it: bone, muscles, and even, while it calls the earth its home, the soul. So the merciful, noisy machine stands in our house working away in its lung-like voice. I hear it as I kneel before the fire, stirring with a stick of iron, letting the logs lie more loosely. You, in the upstairs room, are in your usual position, leaning on your right shoulder which aches all day. You are breathing patiently; it is a beautiful sound. It is your life, which is so close to my own that I would not know where to drop the knife of separation. And what does this have to do with love, except everything? Now the fire rises and offers a dozen, singing, deep-red roses of flame. Then it settles to quietude, or maybe gratitude, as it feeds as we all do, as we must, upon the invisible gift: our purest, sweet necessity: the air.

He who teaches you how to tend a garden has given you more than he who has given you a hundred roses.
